'Sun Crest' Peach, Goodness Not Found in a Grocery Store
If your fruit fantasies involve biting into a fresh peach and having sweet nectar run down your arms, Sun Crest Peach is the one for you. Lovingly immortalized in Epitaph to a Peach by Mas Masumoto, 'Sun Crest' Peach has that old-fashioned texture, fragrance and flavor of peaches that cannot be commercially picked and shipped. You just can't find peaches like this in a grocery store. 'Sun Crest' Peach is such a treasure that it was the first California produce item to be selected by Slow Food for its Ark of Taste.
Yamagami's Nursery has a limited supply of 'Sun Crest' Peach. It is a semi-dwarf tree on 'Citation' rootstock, which adapts well to our soil. If you have had a problem with nematodes in your soil, we also have some grafted on 'Nemaguard' (need good drainage, plant on a mound) which grow to standard size.
If you have a yearning for that 'melting quality' of a real peach, plant a 'Sun Crest.' Come to Yamagami's Nursery for the best fruit selection around and all the supplies you need to succeed in your own garden of eatin'.

Make Gardening Easy- Move Up to Kiwi Collar Raised Beds! |
Hate digging in clay soil? Move your garden up into a Kiwi Collar raised bed. Yamagami's Nursery is now offering stackable, modular, versatile wooden raised beds. These beds need no tools, no nails, no screws, that's right, no assembly required! You can simply open them and place them on the ground or even a deck.
A single pre-fab module makes a 48" x 40" x 7.7" tall rectangular bed. From there you can connect them, stack them or group them depending on the space you have available. The timbers are a sustainable resource from managed forests and are chemical-free.
Come in to see these Kiwi Collars and move your garden on up. Let the Nursery Pros at Yamagami's guide you to success with all your gardening projects. We are here to help you succeed...the first time.

The Buzz is... the Queen's the Thing!
Now is when young yellow jacket queens hatch, emerge, and fly out searching for a place to a nest. What if your backyard looks like Eden to her?
Prevent a summer of evading aggressive yellow jackets by trapping queens now, before they can set up housekeeping in or near your garden.
Rescue! Yellow Jacket Traps use pheromones to attract them. The queens enter it, get stuck and the result is, no nest. We recommend placing a few strategically in the outer areas of your garden (away from entertaining areas) for best results. You'll want to suggest to your neighbors that they do the same for best protection.

Safe Fungus Control with Serenade!
All this winter's lovely rain means diseases are flourishing. It used to be that fungicides were scary to use. With all the emphasis on safe and organic gardening practices, Yamagami's is happy to offer Serenade, a whole new kind of fungicide. Its active ingredient is a bacteria that does not harm beneficial insects and wildlife, but controls powdery mildew and other fungal diseases. We used it on our Giant Pumpkin last year and were thrilled with the results.
Serenade is safe to use on fruits, vegetables and even tender bedding plants. Yamagami's is cautioning our customers to be on the lookout for disease problems this spring. At the very first sign of a disease, start using Serenade to keep any infection from getting out of control. Like most garden problems, early detection means easier control.
Come to Yamagami's Nursery for the safest ways to combat any garden problems as well as the most natural ways to get your garden to thrive. We are here when you want to succeed...the first time.
